I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. I think like Him. I talk like Him. I act like Him. I am not idle, nor do I hand out with those who are. I do not let any unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up. Every word I speak benefits others.

My old self and my former way of living I put off. I refuse to enter into gossip or idle, unproductive talk. I put on the new man with a new attitude and new desires. I put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. I put off falsehood and speak the truth in love.

I am an imitator of God and live a life of love, just as Christ loves me. I receive this amazing love and I choose to walk in it every day. I walk in the light and love of God. I speak the wisdom of God and all the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. My mouth is a fountain of life and wisdom. My words are choice silver and nourish many. I am a person of understanding who delights in wisdom. The speech of the upright - that’s me - rescues them. I am rescued by my speech!

My words bring healing. I guard my lips and so guard my life. From the fruit of my lips I am filled with and enjoy good things. I walk with the wise and so I grow wise. I don’t lie. My mouth is a truthful witness. My tongue gives gentle answers, turning away wrath. My words bring healing and are a tree of life to all those who hear. I speak only good of others.

I hate dissension, gossip, slander and strife. I cover over all offenses and promote love. I put a guard on my mouth today. My mouth is filled with pleasant words to promote instruction. My heart is wise. It guides my mouth. My words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

The words of my mouth are a direct result of what I think on consistently. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. So I choose to think only on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, whatever is of good report, I will think of such things. All my words are positive, faith-filled words.

I long to please You in all I do and say, Lord. So strengthen and empower me by the Holy Spirit to keep my tongue from evil. My lips overflow with Your praise. Out of my mouth flows rivers of living water. I have resolved that I will not sin with my mouth.

May the Words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, oh Lord. I am righteous, therefore my mouth utters wisdom and my tongue speaks what is just. The Word of God is in my heart and my feet do not slip.

I refuse to be drawn into what is evil and take part in gossip - uncovering others - making others look less in someone’s eyes. I will not speak ill or unkindly toward others, for LOVE COVERS.

I speak only positive, uplifting, edifying words and I do to others as I would have them to unto me. My words are gracious and full of love. I honor and glorify You, Lord, keeping a tight reign on my lips. All of my words will line up with the Word of God, producing life wherever I go!
